WHAT A MOULD AND MOISTURE ASSESSMENT INVOLVES

❊ Research of the area where the building is located for conditions which may impact the site.
❊ A visual inspection to locate all moisture issues unique to the site which support microbial growth and determining the extent of moisture ingression.
❊ Determining the extent that mould has spread.
❊ Identifying air pathways that potentially spread fungal particulate throughout.
❊ A detailed audit report describing what we found, how we found it, advice on how to address the moisture and, how to attain normal fungal ecology (pre-damaged condition).*

*Advice on solutions will focus on fixing moisture issues before removing or cleaning contaminated materials and objects. Without fixing moisture issues, mould problems will return and particulate will spread. Mould is all over the planet and so, to mange it, we simply have to ensure our home environments do not support their growth indoors. These solutions can range from passive ventilation (opening of windows), cleaning regimes, exhaust fan improvements, removal of contaminated materials without further contamination of spaces, to whole house remediations with an IICRC certified remediator (these are just a few examples from a long list of options).
